Four years ago, artist Kurt Perschke tossed his RedBall Project, a traveling installation, into Chicago's Jay Pritzker Pavilion.
Since then, the 15-foot-wide vinyl ball has bounced to...
...and Portland, Oregon, with fans suggesting where they'd like to see it next...
...and back to Chicago.
"In that moment, the person is not a spectator but a
participant in the act of imagination," Perschke says. Recently, he
rolled the ball from the Golden Jubilee Bridge to Riverside Terrace
during its United Kingdom tour.
