Follow the bouncing ball, a mobile installation, as it travels around the world.

Four years ago, artist Kurt Perschke tossed his RedBall Project, a traveling installation, into Chicago's Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Since then, the 15-foot-wide vinyl ball has bounced to...

...cities like Taipei...

...Abu Dhabi...

...and Portland, Oregon, with fans suggesting where they'd like to see it next...

...and back to Chicago.

"In that moment, the person is not a spectator but a participant in the act of imagination," Perschke says. Recently, he rolled the ball from the Golden Jubilee Bridge to Riverside Terrace during its United Kingdom tour.
