Sullivan, IN

Judith Bengochea calls Sullivan, Indiana the “hidden treasure of the Midwest.” With more than 25,000 acres of outdoor wilderness land, abundant boating and fishing, and an off-road vehicle park, and a picturesque downtown, there’s plenty to keep visitors and locals active.

Higginsville, MO

The iconic Davis Theatre in Higginsville, Missouri, could close its door if the town can't raise enough money to keep it running. A small group of local women, fearing that future generations won’t be able to enjoy the historic theater, banded together to raise awareness, and since then, the whole community is supporting the downtown Davis Theatre.

One of the most beautiful “downtowns” and main streets is Holland, Michigan!  Another one I think is beautiful is St Augustine, FL!

Oshkosh has always in my memory had a free swimming pool.  It was the best place to be in the summer, and we met all our friends there throughout the growing-up years.  Lifeguard was one of my daughter’s first summer jobs.  We really need the funds badly, as we are such a little town.
