Best Pop Art in the Park

Typewriter Eraser, Scale X is a 5-ton, 19-foot steel replica of this outmoded writing tool. It perches in Olympic Sculpture Park, the outdoor branch of the Seattle Art Museum on the banks of Puget Sound and open since January 2007. Seattle Times art critic Sheila Farr said the oddball piece, by Claes Oldenburg and on loan from the Paul Allen Family Collection, “looks like a wild-haired kid on a runaway unicycle!”
