Named rose of the year in 2006 by Texas A&M University's Earth-Kind program,
Carefree Beauty, with its gorgeous pink blooms, can grow anywhere in this country, literally. First introduced in 1977 by rose cultivator Griffith Buck of Iowa State University, the shrub rose is not only resistant to disease, it's also very low maintenance, requiring no pruning or deadheading. That's a plant we love.
