Launched in February from the International Space Station to orbit Earth,
SuitSat -- a spacesuit made into a satellite -- has conveyed information about temperatures in space. The best part? No human subject involved. Armed with batteries, sensors and a radio transmitter, the suit on the move (sponsored by NASA, the Russian Space Agency, and others) will disintegrate upon re-entry into Earth's atmosphere in the next few months. Saves going to the cleaners.
