I read your atricle in the RD about the losses in your family. My formidable years were the sixties and early seventies and I remember all the tragedy in those 5-6 years of turmoil our country was in. I was 8 when JFK was killed but still remember where I was that day. Your family is a testimony to strength, dignity and a fine example of how we should all live our lives. Your Uncle and fathers lives did have meaning and it still lives on today to those who witnessed their work. Thank you

Dear Kathlee - I am a patriotic Democrat - born in Massachusetts in 1953. I was 10 years old when President Kennedy was shot and killed and I remember running all the way home from school in tears. Even at that young age, I knew it was a terrible loss for our country as was Robert's loss. Your story was so touching - I cried several times while reading it. The letter from your Dad was most touching and remarkable. I will be voting for Obama. May God Bless the Kennedys and protect us all.
