The Super Bowl is synonymous with food -- and lots of it. Don't even try to say no to nibbling; just change what you eat. This year, let the others pig out on buffalo wings and pizza, while you enjoy this fiber-filled, healthy chili, below. A few tips for enjoying it:

Top it off. Give your guests a selection of toppings, like low-fat sour cream, grated cheddar, salsa, minced onion and jalapeños.

Dig in. Set out pretzel sticks, warm tortillas, baked chips or pita chips, and have the football fans dip into the chili throughout the game.

Enlightened Chili Recipe
You Will Need
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups butternut squash, peeled; cut into ¼ -in. chunks
3 pounds ground turkey
½ cup smoky barbecue sauce
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoons ground cumin
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Hot sauce to taste
1 onion, minced
2 red peppers, chopped
2 cups dark beer
1 cup tomato sauce
2 cups canned pinto beans, drained
2 cups frozen corn, thawed

What to Do
1. Warm 1 tablespoon olive oil in skillet on high heat. Add squash; sauté. Transfer to large pot. Return skillet to heat; add remaining oil and turkey. Brown; add to squash.

2. Add next 10 ingredients. Stir; place pot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and lower heat; cook for 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Add water if necessary to get the consistency you want. Add corn, stir, remove from heat.

Serves 15.

Per serving: 270 calories; 11 g fat; 2.5 g saturated fat; 6 g fiber; 21 g protein
