Kids count down to Christmas with chocolate, beauty lovers count down with skincare. The Beekman 1802 advent calendar is back for 2025, and it’s filled with both bestsellers and new launches you haven’t tried yet—so many that the brand promises this advent calendar is worth more than $460 retail.
At less than half that price to purchase, this beauty advent calendar seems like a total steal. I broke one open to see if the claims were true. Warning! Spoilers are ahead.
Editor’s Note: This is running low in stock at the time of publication, but you can still secure the product bundle to refill your favorite reusable Advent calendar. The bundle is a great value for the price, so we still recommend snagging it!
Featuring 24 skincare surprises, The G.O.A.T. Advent Calendar is valued at over $400 (but costs much less).
The Beekman 1802 Advent Calendar is famously one of the best beauty Advent calendars around. In fact, it usually sells out well before Thanksgiving, making it rather exclusive as well. Past years featured many of their most popular goat milk-powered products, and this year’s calendar is similar in that regard.
This year’s offering, cheekily called The G.O.A.T. Advent Calendar, is just as display-worthy and stuffed with goodies as last year’s release. In fact, it may be the best one yet! This year, Beekman 1802’s Advent calendar features a “build-it-yourself” approach, which makes it an interactive experience as much as it is an Advent calendar.
As someone who has tested over 30 Advent calendars in the last two years, I consider myself pretty well versed when it comes to Christmas countdowns. This was my first year testing the Beekman 1802 Advent Calendar, and it completely blew me away with its contents and attention to detail. Upon opening up the glamorous striped box, I was greeted by a number of impeccably-packed canisters and boxes along with assembly instructions.

The tall canisters come printed with goats enjoying traditional cold weather activities, like hockey, sledding and skiing. The shorter canisters are meant to look like little booths, boasting candy, tickets and hot cocoa for sale. Finally, the boxes are built like little presents, complete with shiny packaging and a printed bow. The calendar’s theme is “goat,” which plays in well with the brand’s star ingredient, goat milk.
Setup was simple, and after placing the final canister I was in total awe. Each of the 24 slots contain its own pretty printed box or cutely illustrated canister. It’s a gorgeous display that’s bound to bring smiles all season long! I opened each one-by-one, unveiling an assortment of luxury skin and body care. The canisters are sturdy and entirely reusable as displays or gift holders. I arranged mine on my bookshelf after emptying the contents—they’re simply too cute to throw away!

Inside each canister sits one of Beekman 1802’s cult beauty products, spanning everything from body care to face oils and eye masks. It offers full-sized containers for 13 of the items, while the other half are generous samples. Inclusions span soaps, lotions, skincare and face wash, all enveloped in pretty minimalist packaging.
I began by testing out Beekman 1802’s Oh! Mega Milk Facial Oil, which is a fermented facial oil meant to promote a healthy glow. It includes glow-boosting omega fatty acids found in goat milk. On the skin it sits in a silky layer that doesn’t feel greasy—a welcomed change from some of the other glow-boosting serums I’ve tried. This one comes in a full-sized one-ounce bottle, which normally retails for around $55.
My next product was a full-sized version of the Dream Booster Serum, which retails for around $30 for a half-ounce bottle. This serum uses bakuchiol, a plant-based retinol alternative. It works similarly to retinol serums by smoothing out texture and correcting fine lines over time. I love the purple hue—it looks so cute on my vanity!
Another product I enjoyed is the Mushroom Milk Better Aging Eye Cream, which uses five mushroom varieties and 5% hexapeptide to deeply moisturize the under eye area. I have pretty sensitive skin, but this product didn’t break me out or clog my pores at all. A full-sized bottle like the one included in the Advent calendar typically retails for around $52.
Totaling out the prices of these products, we’re already at around $130 worth of products. And that’s just three of the canisters! You really do get what you pay for with this Advent calendar. To see the full list of products included in this year’s Beekman 1802 Advent calendar (and to order yours!), head to the Beekman 1802 site.
The calendar usually contains bespoke inclusions that aren’t available for separate purchase. However, this year’s calendar is also available as a product bundle rather than just as a calendar. If you’re someone who likes restocking their own heirloom Advent calendar, you now have that option as well!

Dubbed the There’s No Place Like Home Advent Calendar, the 2024 Beekman 1802 offered 24 products, 16 of which were full-sized. Like me, tester Caitlyn Fitzpatrick was blown away with the quality of last year’s calendar.
“The first product I dove into was the Milk Scrub. Featuring oat milk and goat milk, this is a gentle scrub that I can personally confirm is safe for sensitive skin,” says Caitlyn. “You can even use it twice a day without fear of overexfoliating. Next, I put my body wash aside to try out the Glacial Mint & Eucalyptus Goat Milk Soap and the new Ginger Cream Cookie Whipped Body Cream. The latter features coconut oil, which is known for its serious moisturizing power.”
“If you’re into anti-aging skincare, you’ll love some of the better-aging products Beekman 1802 is offering in this advent calendar,” continues Caitlyn. “There’s the Dream Booster Bakuchiol Better Aging Serum, which was designed to promote younger-looking skin with ingredients like sunflower seed oil that repair the skin’s barrier. It’s a retinol alternative that’s gentler on the face. You’ll also get the Mushroom Milk Better Aging Eye Cream that restores youthful eyes by reducing the appearance of fine lines and dark circles with ingredients like firming mushroom extract. To back up its claims, it was clinically tested for women with mature skin ages 46 to 70.”
Skincare buffs will also appreciate the inclusion of the Golden Booster Vitamin C Brightening Serum in last year’s calendar. It brightens the skin, evens out skin tone and reduces the appearance of dark spots with help from amla berry fruit extract and other better-aging ingredients. It was designed with dry and sensitive skin in mind, so it’ll leave you feeling smooth, not greasy.

The Beekman 1802 is the second luxury beauty calendar we’ve tried this year, after the Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar. This year’s Advent calendar, the Beauty Chest, boasts 12 luxury beauty products packed into a pretty, reusable jewelry chest. It retails for around $220—just a bit pricier than the $199 Beekman 1802 calendar.
While the Charlotte Tilbury Advent calendar is of remarkable quality (including the reusable packaging), it also comes with far fewer items. That said, all of the items are makeup, so it’s a better option for those that prefer lipsticks and mascaras over skincare.
When I had all the product out of the Beekman 1802 Advent Calendar, I could hardly believe my eyes. The brand isn’t lying when it says that you get $460 worth of items. There’s a lot of product to try out, and the value is self explanatory. There’s also a nice variety of products and scents, so each day is exciting.
You can just feel when skincare is high-quality, and that’s what you get with this brand. Each product I enjoyed from the Advent calendar offered a truly luxurious experience. Plus, I love its aesthetically pleasing packaging, Leaping Bunny certification and sulfate-free products.
Thirteen of the 24 offerings are full-sized products, so they'll last long after the holiday season.
The Beekman 1802 advent calendar is only available on the brand’s website. With a product value of $460 and a price tag of only $199 (or $179 if you skip the pretty packaging and shop product bundle only), this luxury Advent calendar is an excellent value for folks who want to try a sampling of the brand’s very best items. At the time of publication, only 180 calendars remain in stock. Act fast if you plan on securing one!
Since 2022, I’ve written and edited content for national print and digital publications, including Taste of Home, Reader’s Digest and more. I’m also Reader’s Digest’s resident Advent calendar expert. I’ve researched and tested dozens of holiday countdowns across every category to find the absolute best ones for 2025.
