The Quilt Study Center and Museum owns the largest known public collection of quilts from around the world. The center’s goal is to collect and preserve historic and contemporary quilting traditions from all over the world and share their resources with the public. They have gathered quilts from 24 nations, showcased in frequently changing exhibitions built around cultural, historical, and artistic themes chosen to inform and inspire visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

You may study, admire, and imitate the prized quilts by viewing the collections in person and by browsing the collections in the virtual gallery or online. View quilts from the 1700s to the present.

Open Tues.–Sun. Closed major holidays and when the university is closed. Admission charged.
