Mashed Turnips

Tired of mashed potatoes? You’ll love this tasty side dish.

  • 4 cups turnips or rutabagas (3 pounds), peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
