We love a good royal announcement, especially when there’s a new addition to the family! Not only can it be significant to the monarchy, but we also love seeing those first images. Who can forget Kate Middleton in her blue polka-dot dress standing on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital, showing off her hours-old baby, Prince George, just like Diana did decades before with Prince William? We also got a glimpse of Princess Beatrice’s adorable new daughter, Athena, earlier this year.

So who is making a splash on Instagram now? We’ll give you a hint: Camilla made this big announcement, and this new addition to the family won’t change up the royal order of succession. Any guesses? Read on for all the adorable details.

Which royal family member made her big debut on Instagram?

It’s … Moley! Um, who? you might be wondering. That would be Queen Camilla’s latest fur baby, a 5-month-old Jack Russell mix who earned her moniker because her black and brown fur makes her look like a little mole, according to the queen. And wow, is that little muchkin—er, mole—adorable! Look at those ears! Moley’s first public picture shows her outside and snuggled in Camilla’s arms. Camilla, for her part, is sitting on a step and donning a pretty pink-and-purple floral gown and purple cardigan and looks thoroughly besotted with the family’s new addition.

“Meet mischievous Moley,” the post read on the royal family’s official Instagram account. “A new much-loved canine companion.” No word yet on what makes Moley quite so mischievous, but we do know that Camilla adopted the pup from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London, of which she’s been a patron since 2016.

We first heard about Moley in February, when Camilla attended an event in Canterbury and told a guest she had just adopted an 8-week-old rescue pup. “It’s called Moley, looks just like a mole,” the queen said at the time. “[Moley is] bit of everything. It’s a rescue dog.”

Why did Queen Camilla introduce Moley now?

Camilla posted the picture on May 18 to promote a special dog garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The famous flower festival is held in London every May, and this year’s dog garden proved one of its most popular exhibits. “Designed with dogs in mind,” according to the post, the garden features grassy areas for dogs to enjoy and large trees that provide shade. There’s also a very special tribute to some of the most important loves of Camilla’s life.

“The names of The Queen’s adopted Jack Russell Terrier, Bluebell and her new puppy, Moley will feature on the path, alongside that of her much loved dog Beth, who passed away last year,” the post continued. “The name of The King’s dog, Snuff, is also included on the path. The Garden for Dogs will live on after RHS Chelsea, at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.”

Charles and Camilla viewed the sweet tributes on the path when they visited on opening day, May 20. After the flower show ends, the garden will be relocated to Battersea’s facility, where it will have a permanent home.

Why did Camilla and Charles recently welcome new dogs into their home?

Charles and Camilla welcomed both Moley and Snuff after the death of their beloved dog Beth last November. Beth was a Jack Russell terrier whom Camilla had adopted in 2011 from Battersea before adopting another Jack Russell, Bluebell, in 2012 (who is still with the couple). Camilla loves her dogs so much that she even featured Beth and Bluebell in gold thread on her coronation gown!

“The nice thing about dogs is you can sit them down, you could have a nice long conversation, you could be cross, you could be sad, and they just sit looking at you, wagging their tail,” Camilla told the BBC.

Heartbroken when Beth passed away, Camilla wanted to welcome another dog into the fold. Charles’s addition came via a slightly different route: Snuff, a curly-haired Lagotto Romagnolo, was apparently a gift (though we still don’t have the details on who that excellent gift-giver was).

How are the new dogs adjusting to royal life?

The new pooches have reportedly brought renewed energy into the palace, as mischievous Moley, clever Snuff and—as Camilla calls her—”neurotic” Bluebell make quite the trio.

According to the American Kennel Club, Lagotto Romagnolos, which have curly coats and “lavish” facial fur, are affectionate and fairly high-energy. They are also highly skilled, as they are used in Italy to root out truffles.

However, all three dogs won’t be getting under the monarchs’ feet all the time. In addition to their main residence at Clarence House and the monarchy’s many royal estates, Charles and Camilla also have separate homes and often spend time apart at them. But with Moley and Bluebell with Camilla, and Snuff with Charles, the royals will certainly never quite be alone!
