This Dad Created the Most Epic Family Christmas Card

But can a lightsaber cut through fruitcake?

This year, the world gets a pretty awesome Christmas present. The 13th feature-length Star Wars movie, Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released. Although Star Wars fans are known for their particularly fervent dedication to the franchise, one dad might just have them beat.

Josh Rossi, whom we’ve featured before, just happens to be the world’s foremost expert in epic dad photography. And he decided that any old pose in front of a mantle wouldn’t do for his family’s Christmas card. They’d have to trek to a galaxy far, far away.

For reference, here are the official Star Wars posters that Rossi was working with.

Josh’s aim was to recreate Episode IX’s cinematic posters and, well, his work speaks for itself. With the help of his wife and two kids, he made sure to make this Christmas a one for the galactic scrapbook.

According to PetaPixel, designer Julie Whiteley donated the costumes ($1,500 value) and then Josh took care of the rest, with the help of a little bit of green screen and Photoshop magic.
