22 Stores Open on Thanksgiving This Year

These stores have you covered for those last-minute items needed to have the most perfect Thanksgiving dinner.

Sometimes mistakes happen, and just because it’s Thanksgiving doesn’t mean that the day is immune to minor inconveniences. Maybe you forgot to buy green beans for your famous green bean casserole. Or maybe you burnt your first pie and need to grab some more flour for a new pie crust. Or just maybe, you need to snag an extra chair for your third cousin’s new girlfriend who is now unexpectedly coming to dinner. Whatever it is, some stores will be open this holiday for you to make those precious Thanksgiving traditions come to life—even if that means heading to one of these restaurants open on Thanksgiving instead of cooking. Grocery stores seem to be your best bet for last-minute items, but there are a handful of retail stores open as well (although you’ll have to wait until Black Friday for most of them). Hours are subject to change based on location so make sure to call ahead to your local stores to double-check before you go.
