What Does 200 Calories Look Like?
Know more so you can make better eating choices.
“When you consider that an entire plate of broccoli contains the same number of Calories as a small spoonful of peanut butter, you might think twice the next time you decide what to eat.” – From WiseGeek.com
Though I love cheese and when faced with actual pictures of what I could “spend” 200 calories on, I’m not so sure I’d pick cheese. WiseGeek.com’s photos show that I could have a small piece of cheese versus what looks to be a whole bag of baby carrots for the same amount of calories. Eating that small piece of cheese would probably take me about 15 seconds, while a whole bag of baby carrots would take me 15 minutes, giving me more time to register that I am full. As you can see from the photos, if you’re looking for quantity with fewer calories, fruit and vegetables are the way to go.
