Fill in your eyebrows
Defined eyebrows frame your face and bring attention to your eyes. Makeup legend Bobbi Brown recommends filling in your brows with an eye shadow that matches the color of your brows. “I like to use short feathery strokes to brush the hairs up, and then over towards the tail. Follow the natural arch of the brow,” says Bobbi Brown in a video on her YouTube channel. For women with strong brows, she also suggests using a clear brow gel to set the brows once you’ve filled them in. Here’s how to apply makeup to look more alert and less tired.
Start with an eyeshadow primer
The last thing you want is for your shadow to wear off or crease on your eyes. Use a primer or base to make your eyelid as smooth as possible. That way, your eyeshadow will stay in place all day. These makeup mistakes make you look older.
To make eyes look big and bold, the trick is to create depth with your eyeshadow. First apply a lighter-colored shadow all over your eyelid. Then, take a darker shadow and apply it in the crease of your eye above your lid. This will create an element of dimension. Don’t forget to blend the lid color with the crease color to create a seamless look.
