Chocolate Dips

Chocolate Dips 


  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup shortening (soft)
  • 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup uncooked quick rolled oats

For topping:

  • Semisweet chocolate chips
  • Milk
  • Nonpareils


  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees
  2. Mix shortening, sugar, and vanilla until creamy
  3. Add flour, mix
  4. Mix in oats–will be stiff
  5. Shape into crescents
  6. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 25-30 minutes, or until bottoms start to get golden
  7. Melt chocolate with milk, dip half and sprinkle on nonpareils
