Grapefruit is good
Growing up in Phoenix, Arizona in a former grapefruit orchard, I never realized all the health benefits of grapefruit—and the potential dangers. When we moved into the house, I was about five years old and the property was home to 28 trees. You can imagine how many grapefruit halves I ate for breakfast over the years. My mom tried everything to use up the bazillions of grapefruit we harvested every winter, including a batch of grapefruit marmalade. Eventually, we donated the massive harvest to the food bank and other charity organizations—I only wish my mother had these delicious recipes back in those days!
Citrus Arugula Salad
