Walker McCune Mansion, Arizona
Once home to Hormel Foods heir, the makers of Spam, Geordie Hormel, this 52,000-square foot home once cost him $11,000 for electricity. The home takes its name from Pennzoil heir Walker McCune, who built it in the 1960s. It includes an ice skating rink, a 150-seat theater, and an Olympic-size swimming pool. Hormel died in 2006.

North Wales is on the market once again. Former Goldman Sachs managing director and co-head of global asset management David B. Ford bought the sprawling 38,500-square foot stone manor house that dates back to 1776 for a mere $21 million. The 1,471-acre property is for sale again. The Government House in Annapolis, Maryland serves as the residence for the governor. It’s also a pretty big place at 38,000-square feet. The Victorian-style mansion was completed in 1870. Mark Twain and Queen Elizabeth are among those who have visited the mansion.

Ross bought the property for $5.8 million, which requires 350,000 gallons of water to fill the pool, back in 2014.
Financier J. Edgar Monroe built this Mississippi home back in 1963 as an 11,000 square-foot ode to his Gatsby-style home in Rhode Island. The footprint of the home expanded by more than double to 25,000 square feet after Charles Ramsey bought it in 1993. He added two wings to the house to make it a 15-bed, 19-bath mansion on 8 acres. It’s been on the market for $6.9 million for more than a year.
