Warning: Big feelings ahead!

Last year, the summer solstice was surrounded by a trio of eclipses, which meant big changes for everyone. Whether those shakeups were good or bad for your particular zodiac sign, you’re probably wondering what’s in store for you this year. According to astrologers Tali and Ophira Edut, aka the AstroTwins, the 2021 summer solstice won’t be quite as jarring…but it will be equally impactful in its own way. With the sun in conversation with bountiful Jupiter on the summer solstice, we’ll feel like anything is possible. But since the sun will be in Cancer and Jupiter will be in Pisces, two emotional water signs, it could be an emotional time. So, when is the summer solstice, exactly? This year, it falls on June 20, which is also Father’s Day.

“Feelings could be grandiose, gestures will be sweeping—and that is fine, with an asterisk,” the Eduts explain. “Jupiter is also pivoting into its annual retrograde that day (until October 18), so we may want to beam that energy toward situations that are already in motion.” Retrogrades point us to the past, and this solstice may help us repair fractured relationships. Yet the longest day of the year (and the first day of summer) can illuminate other relationships where we’ve been less than truthful or putting up with circumstances that aren’t working anymore. There’s no way around it: People will have to deal with what’s happening inside of themselves this June 20 and possibly also for a few days after it. Learning how to be more productive based on your zodiac sign can also help at this tricky time.

Aries (March 21–April 19)

The 2021 summer solstice is a great time for the fiery first sign of the zodiac to focus on home, according to the AstroTwins. Rams may want to honor a family member, call their parents, or dive into a home project, like curating collages of family photos for the den. This will also be a good time to practice self-care and let go of a grudge you have been holding onto. Release those negative vibes, and let the good times roll for the rest of the summer!

Taurus (April 20–May 20)

After a long, weird year of pandemic life, this earth sign ruled by Venus will mindfully reconnect with people during the solstice, and the AstroTwins predict that there will be lots of movement around socializing amid groups and friends. “The time has come to reconnect with old and new,” say the sisters. “[But] be careful about what you put online. Saying the wrong thing could get the team canceled.” Now is a good time to get offline and make meaningful connections face-to-face. Bulls may be surprised to discover who their ideal best friend is.

Gemini (May 21–June 20)

The time has come for Gemini to make a career move—and that time is right around the summer solstice. “Go beyond the day-to-day work processes and prove your loyalty,” advise the AstroTwins. “Make a powerful impression.” People born under this sign should be proactive about taking on leadership at work or pitching to a client. However, they should avoid drastic moves and just take the next natural step. That shouldn’t hard for Gemini: Intellect is the top career strength for this curious sign that’s ruled by Mercury.

Cancer (June 21–July 22)

“It’s your day in the sun!” say the AstroTwins about compassionate Crabs, who always spend an abundance of energy caring for others. And they mean that both literally and figuratively: The sun is moving into Cancer for a month, making the solstice an optimal time for success. “It’s your moment to take a risk on something that you want to do just for you. Do not hold back.” That’s right, Crabs—run, don’t crawl, toward whatever you want right now. It’s your time to shine.

Leo (July 23–August 22)

Lions will want to supersize everything during the summer solstice. However, they should resist this urge and instead create strong boundaries. People born under this sign true leaders, so it may be a challenge to resist their innate desire to charge forward with gusto. But, as the AstroTwins wisely note: “Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day.” That’s why enlisting a mentor or guide is a good idea for Leos right now. The right person can help them process any uncomfortable feelings, like sadness or FOMO, that may come up when they let go of big ideas or expectations. Leos looking to de-stress need to go outside and get their bodies moving—ideally exercising by or in water.

Virgo (August 23–September 22)

Virgo may always be eager to help others, which is a great thing, but now is the time for this analytical earth sign to dig deep and make truly meaningful connections. “Focus on one person in your group to reach out to,” say the AstroTwins. “Invite a friend to be involved in a collaborative effort.” Create a more connected vibe on your team by hosting a picnic, getting everyone organized on a project management app, or simply inviting friends to be part of a project. Just make sure to avoid including people who you like but who are not qualified for the job, since this will adversely affect the team. Virgos, by the way, are among the most trustworthy signs of the zodiac.

Libra (September 23–October 22)

The longest day of the year is the perfect time for Libras to set some goals for the summer. “Whether you shake off the COVID-19 [pounds] with a diet and exercise plan or find creative ways to reduce stress at work, make wellness a goal. You can also champion a project that needs a leader,” says the AstroTwins. This is a good time for Libra to join mastermind groups or organize their social life around things they are working on. For example, they might want to meet up with an entrepreneur group for a picnic or join a tennis club where they can meet people who are up to big things. Did you know that people born in September are more likely to be successful than those born in other months?

Scorpio (October 23–November 21)

The AstroTwins tell those born under the sign of Scorpio to be loud and proud during the 2021 summer solstice. Moody and mysterious Scorpios should be a little less moody and mysterious and instead promote what they are working on. For example, they could put their greatest hits on a website, social media feed, or in a presentation—anything that clearly shows what they’re capable of. Then they can show those accomplishments to their boss in a cohesive way. It’s also a good time for a romantic moment of truth for those born under the sign ruled by Pluto, so go ahead and confess your attraction to that special someone if you’re single; or, if you’re in a relationship, ask your partner to take a trip or move in together. More good news for those with October birthdays: You are more likely to live to be 100.

Sagittarius (November 22–December 21)

There’s no holding back for the Archer during the summer solstice. “Now is the time for those born under the sign of Sagittarius to know their worth,” say the sisters. “Be sure to wait for the best offer to come in. It is wise to negotiate.” This could be a once-in-a-lifetime offer or an intense romantic encounter that they’ll have to act quickly on. It may only end up being a stepping stone to something else, but it will be an experience they’ll grow from, so they shouldn’t miss it. (Think: a special project that will build Sagittarius’ resume or a relationship with someone who’s only in town for three months.) Don’t try to figure out the forever future right now—just leap!

Capricorn (December 22–January 19)

Capricorns will have major relationship mojo near the summer solstice, so it will be a great time to invite people into a partnership, to propose something for business…or literally to propose! They will see the merits of teaming up, and they’ll be completely charming and confident in their endeavors. “Show your interest in others by putting it all on the line. ‘Hello, I am here’ is the banner you should wear,” say the AstroTwins. “Invite people to chat or meet for coffee, and be sure to have time in your heart for people you love.”

Aquarius (January 20–February 18)

Health matters for the Water Bearer during the solstice. Aquarians will have enjoyed a month of indulgence prior to the solstice…and perhaps too many curly fries. They are generally active and fit, so this will be the time to get back to their usual selves and launch into healthier eating, sleeping, and exercise routines. While they’re at it, they should be sure to address any aches and pains. Considering getting a pet to help you reach your exercise goals? Here’s the perfect zodiac-compatible pet for Aquarius—and every other sign.

Pisces (February 19–March 20)

Follow your passions during the summer solstice. Remember: Jupiter is in Pisces, which makes June 20 a powerful day to make a statement. And it’s important to do that. “If you care about something, speak up or people can slip away,” the AstroTwins remind this dreamer sign. Express yourself strongly and dramatically. Tell someone you love them or convey another strong sentiment instead of being secretive or vague. Move beyond your fear and hold onto those you treasure. Speaking of those fears, these are the biggest fears of every zodiac sign.
