Everywhere you you go, you encounter friendly people. They either wave or say hi, even if you’re a complete stranger. Boating on the river as well as fishing and crabbing are popular activities among locals. It’s just a great place to live.

It was voted as “The South’s Best Small Town 2017” by Southern Living magazine. Â
