Not only do people go out of their way to be friendly, but they are so helpful. I  came up to visit with family and decided that I would stay. “Yankees are rude,” they say in the south, but not here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We are a community of caring people. This winter I ran out of gas as I pulled into the gas station, coming up short of the pumps. I went to get out of my car to push it to the pumps, and a young couple came running up to my car instructing me to stay behind the wheel and they would push me in. Another time I witnessed someone pay it forward to the person behind them in the grocery line. People here honestly care about others and show it daily.
