"The mission city"

Relatively small but swarmed with history, Santa Clara is only a stones throw away from the Atlantic ocean, desert, and mountain landscapes. We have the best entertainment and dining from here to New York. We’re within reach of the best skiing around, as well as Yosemite National Park for all those hikers. We are the home of the 49ers, in addition to California’s oldest university. There are only two Carmelite Monasteries in the state, one of which we’re home to. We will soon be making history when we bring back our downtown to its original eight-block grid, as the bulldozing of our downtown 55 years ago is considered to be a famous California gaff.
