Vets Returning Home is a non-profit and non-government funded organization dedicated to help our veterans transition into stable lives. The goal of Vets Returning Home is simple: to end chronic homelessness among veterans in our communities. Their mission is complex, requiring much more than putting a roof over the veterans’ heads.

Stories About Vets Returning Home

The organization addresses veterans and their needs by assisting them to a path towards success while they’re transitioning back into civilian life. They are a volunteer operated 11,000 square foot facility with 43 beds and a commercial kitchen, providing a stable and sober living environment to veterans in crisis. Onsite services include employment readiness training, aid with job placement, disability benefit connection, legal support, and life skills training. Both volunteer and financial support from the community has been vital to the continuance of our mission, as Vets Returning Home does not receive government funding. They successfully transition an average of 140 veterans each year back into society.
