Music to Help a Community Impacted by Violence

Late last week, Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer released a musical tribute to the victims of the Aurora massacre, and buying it is perhaps the perfect way to help a community affected by almost incomprehensible violence.

Zimmer, of course, is the man behind the powerful score to The Dark Knight Rises, the film now forever linked to the tragedy that claimed 12 lives and affected many, many more. His song, simply called “Aurora,” is an appropriately somber, quiet piece that runs for nearly nine minutes—enough time to reflect on these terrible events and offer a prayer for those affected.

Each and every penny spent on the single is promised to Aurora Victim Relief, a fund established by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper in response to the shootings. Purchase the song for $1.29 via iTunes or donate more through the MoonToast serviceZimmer’s Facebook page includes all of the details.
