We moved here for the Mayo Clinic‘s medical service, voted the best in so many categories for so many years. It’s small, but has an international community as people come from all over the world to be “repaired in Rochester,” and become so infatuated that they stay. Many very, very kind Somalian immigrants integrate into the community seamlessly, as the “Minnesota nice” is palpable wherever you go.

There are so many stories, as people are so kind and willing to help each other. We are from California and everyone enthusiastically asks, “Oh! Which part?” then say as many nice things about the state that they can. They’re very kind and loving people, all welcoming others to share their community, and completely unlike other places I have travelled in the country.
