"Finding Lyn"

When Lyn went missing, the entire community came to look for her. (Credit: Eileen Hendrickson)

On April 20th of this year, my sister Lyn Palmer did not return home. Once the word got around, neighbors started showing up. It was evening and dark. They came in droves. With the search and rescue, many from community started looking. The next day and for at least five days afterwards, they came, they walked over rough terrain. I can’t give you the exact number, but it seemed like hundreds. When they came, they brought food and water. Tons of food, everyday they fed everyone. Even though we haven’t found Lyn, they continue to send prayers. If we them asked to come, they would. I have never seen anything like it in my life. This is what a community is about. They surrounded us with love and protection. They have given more then 100%. I have fallen in love with the people in this community.
