We are close to East Carolina University’s medical school, and the University of North Carolina and Duke University health care facilities are connected to our local hospital, UNC Wayne Memorial. It’s an excellent hospital with staff that provides excellent care. Our school system in Wayne County is tops, with new schools and additions always in progress. Only 100 miles from the coast, our sleepy little southern town is just right. Come down for a visit, and we’ll guarantee you’ll want to stay!

In addition to the great medical care, we are very proud of the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, home of the 4th Tactical Fighter Wing. The motto is “4th but first!” Our Base and Wing Commanders are often promoted to the Pentagon, Seymour Johnson is a top choice assignment for troops. We have the best flyboys in the country!
