We moved here from Kansas about three years ago to be close to my daughter after my husband passed away. My daughter threw me a housewarming party. It was beautiful — the food, the weather, the neighbors. Every day I sit on my sun porch and wave to all neighbors that drive or walk by and they all wave back, they’re all extremely friendly and everyone knows everyone. We all look out for each other. There are two neighbors across the street from me — the daughter in one home and her mom next to her — both widows such as myself.
