People dedicated to helping other people appreciate what is around them. The Conservation Trust has several programs to help foster the spirit of the community. “Trust in our children” educates the children to the environment around them.

Stories About Kennebunkport

After Barbara Bush passed, they collected stories about her from the community. There is a garden in her honor in the center of town. The Bush family lived at Walker’s Point, George Bush’s mother’s house, for several generations.

For many years while I was growing up, there was a handicapped man who would “direct” traffic in the center of town. The traffic would get terribly messed up, but no one complained. Everyone took care of him.
