The people in my hometown of Oakhurst are genuinely warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The tourists that stop in Oakhurst on their way to the majestic Yosemite National Park are always greeted with smiles and courtesy in our many stores, hotels, restaurants, and businesses. It is the very best mountain community.

In Oakhurst, no one goes without. Run by caring volunteers and donations from the community, the Manna House has been helping those in need for many years. I have personally been a bell ringer for them during Christmas time. We have the in home support providers for the elderly and disabled, as well as a senior center. We also have a great Boys & Girls club for the kids. There’s lots to do in our town, I could go on and on. After a series of fires and floods, residents and local churches opened their doors to all who needed a place to stay, even for the animals. We have fun festivals year round and for holidays.
