Seaside is mostly just a small town, but it’s also a tourist destination. So, at times, this small town grows into a very large town. We have lots of beautiful scenery, a great sidewalk that runs along the beach, surfing, hiking, and plenty of places to play. With Astoria just 15 minutes away, there’s always something to do, like look at historical buildings or go along a walk by the river. If you go 15 minutes the other way, Cannon Beach has sun fun and shopping. And we’re only 90 minutes from Portland.

Stories About Seaside

There is a Relay for Life every year to raise money for the American Cancer Society. There is a run/walk every April to raise money for Autism research. And in October there is the Great Columbia Crossing 10K that raises money for the local food bank and several other charities. These are just a few of the many charitable activities our town runs. We as a community raise money for United Way, schools, libraries, and much else.
