The friendly and caring people of Troy will literally stop and help a stranger if they have car trouble. Residents wave at anyone who drives down the street, even strangers. The police department knows every single resident. They even go above and beyond to check on the elderly when they’re sick.

I am a retired nurse from Florida and have worked for two elderly couples since I moved here. I met the first couple through their family at church. I worked for the couple for three years before they passed. It broke my heart because I grew very close with them and learned so much. The other couple are like my second set of parents. I am in absolute heaven when I spend time with them and love them so much. Feel free to visit me on my front porch any time to see how wonderful Troy truly is.
