Can you see who views your TikToks?
Yes! You can see the usernames of followers who view your TikTok videos, as well as other metrics, such as the number of likes, comments and shares. These features can come in handy when you want to boost your reach and engagement—or when you just want to know if your ex is stalking your posts.
To take advantage of these tools, first make sure your TikTok app is updated to the latest version. And keep in mind that this feature is available only to people who are 16 and older and who have fewer than 5,000 followers.
How to see who viewed your TikTok video

The post views feature on TikTok allows you to see who, specifically, viewed your posts—but it’s a two-way street. So can people see if you viewed their TikTok too? Yup, if you choose to turn on this feature. Enabling it allows the people you follow to see that you watched their videos.
If that’s not a dealbreaker for you, follow the steps below to see who viewed your TikTok videos over the past week.
Directions
- Open the TikTok app.
- Go to your profile by tapping the “Profile” icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
- Select the three-bar “Menu” icon in the top-right corner.
- In the pop-up menu, tap “Settings and privacy.”
- Tap “Privacy.”
- Scroll down and select the “Post views” option in the menu.
- Turn on post view history by toggling the switch to the “on” position.
Once you’ve enabled post view history, open one of the videos you’ve posted. In the bottom-left corner, you’ll see a number representing the total views. Click on that, and you’ll see a list of users who have viewed, liked and commented on your video.
Who appears on your post view list
Your post’s viewing history shows only those people who have viewed your video in the past seven days, so be sure to check it regularly.
There are caveats, though. For starters, it just tracks views from people who follow you and select people who don’t follow you but have liked or commented on your posts (regardless of whether they have their post view history on or off).
So when someone asks, “Can you see who views your TikToks?” you can confidently answer “Yes” … for the most part. The list won’t include a non-follower who has never liked or commented on your videos.
How to see your TikTok analytics

Want to know more about how your posts are performing? TikTok also keeps track of other analytics, such as how many followers you’ve gained, where your followers live, their ages and when they’re most active on the app. You can also see which videos have had the most growth in the past seven days, the average amount of time people spend watching your videos and so much more. Having this info at your fingertips can be a game-changer for expanding your reach online.
A few simple steps are all it takes to view and track this demographic data on your TikTok followers.
Directions
- Open the TikTok app.
- Go to your profile by tapping the “Profile” icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
- Select the three-bar “Menu” icon in the top-right corner.
- In the pop-up menu, select “Creator tools.”
- Tap “Analytics” to view data on the performance of your profile and posts. If you haven’t yet enabled this, tap “Get Started” under “Analytics” and then tap the red “Turn on” tab.
Can you choose who can see your TikTok video?
If you want to make sure certain people can’t see your video, whether because of harassment, stalking, social media etiquette or any other reason, you can make it private. Maybe you’re experimenting with a new format or sound, or celebrating a personal milestone. No matter the reason, if you want to be sure that only specific eyeballs land on a video, TikTok makes it pretty easy.
How to make a video private before you post it
If you know in advance that you want to limit who can see your new video, just follow these steps:
- After you have selected the video to upload, click the gear wheel in the upper right-hand corner.
- Under “Who can view this post,” select either “Friends” or “Only you.” (If your account is private, you also have the option to choose “Followers.”)
- Continue posting as usual.
How to make a video private after you post it
Did you mean to restrict who could watch your video but forgot to do the above steps? No worries! You can still make it private.
- Go to your profile page and tap the video.
- Click the three dots just below the video.
- Scroll along the bottom menu until you come to “Privacy settings,” and tap it.
- Under “Who can see this post,” tap either “Friends” or “Only you.”
You’re done! Now, only the audience you’ve selected can view your video.
Can you see who views your TikTok profile?
You can! Unlike Meta, which doesn’t let you see who viewed your Facebook profile, TikTok is actually pretty open about it. This information is easy to find—just a few quick taps and you’re in.
Before you set it up, know this: Once you enable this feature, other users will be able to see if you viewed their profiles. If you’re not comfortable with that, it may be best to keep your profile views a mystery. And like the post view history, the profile view feature is available only to users 16 and older who have fewer than 5,000 followers.

FAQs
Can someone see if you viewed their TikTok profile and videos?
It depends. Turning on the post views feature allows the people you follow (and the people whose videos you like or comment on) to see that you watched their videos. People you don’t follow and whose videos you don’t like or comment on won’t know if you’ve viewed their videos, though.
Likewise, enabling the profile view feature lets users know when you’ve viewed their profile. But people who don’t have this feature turned on won’t know if you’ve seen their profile.
Does TikTok notify you when a user views your video or profile?
You don’t get a notification for a video view. However, TikTok does notify you of a profile view, provided the “Profile views history” setting in the TikTok app is turned on.
Can I turn off the setting for others to know that I viewed their TikTok videos or profiles?
Yes! If you don’t want people to know that you viewed their TikTok videos or profiles, you can turn off the option for “Post view history” or “Profile view history,” respectively. Just know that by doing this, you won’t be able to see who’s viewing your profile or videos.
Can I see my TikTok video views even after seven days?
No, you cannot see the individual video views after seven days.
Note that video view history is different from story view history, which lapses when the story expires in 24 hours. The profile view history, by the way, includes views over the past 30 days.
