What is the Cozy Earth comforter?

Cozy Earth ComforterDaria Smith/RD.com

The Cozy Earth comforter comes with a silk or bamboo filling, standard or extra fill and is available in three sizes. In the winter, I opt for silk standard fill and bamboo standard fill in the warmer months. Since I live at the beach, I’m not in a climate that calls for extra fill.

Extra fill has 30% more filling and additional insulation than standard fill. It’s a good option when you’re exceptionally cold-natured, reside in a drafty dwelling, sleep with the thermostat below 60 degrees or live in a frigid climate.

Both the silk and bamboo comforters are breathable, moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating (regardless of the season) and oh-so-soft. It feels like you’re enveloped in a cloud. The silk comforter is large, fluffy and luxurious, like down comforters. Whereas, the bamboo comforter maintains a slimmer profile, like an uber-soft, light quilt.

Adding a duvet cover

Upon purchasing a Cozy Earth comforter, you need a duvet cover—as washing requires spot cleaning or a trip to the dry cleaner. Choose from linen or bamboo, three size options and 13 colors. I have the full-size bamboo duvet cover in white. The bamboo duvet cover is made from the same material as Cozy Earth sheets, with a silky-smooth texture and cooling properties.

I was initially against duvet covers, as I thought they were too much work and formerly used a quilt—until I tried Cozy Earth’s duvet cover. Interior snap closures on the comforter hook onto anchor loops on midpoints and corners on the duvet cover. This way, the comforter won’t shift or move inside the duvet cover. Plus, the bottom of the cover features a tie closure. Watch this video to put a duvet cover on a comforter effortlessly.

Moreover, the duvet cover is durable and machine washable. Note, that the use of a protective duvet cover is strongly recommended and required to validate Cozy Earth’s extended warranty. The full comforter measures 96 inches by 100 inches. Now, I sleep entirely in Cozy Earth from ultra-soft pajamas to bamboo sheets, a duvet cover and a silk comforter.

Cozy Earth Comforter

The Cozy Earth comforter regulates temperature year-round—it's breathable, moisture-wicking and ultra-soft.

Why I love it

The Cozy Earth comforter regulates body temperature. Regardless of the weather, I’m cool and comfortable throughout the entire night. On cooler nights, I’m warm. On summer nights, it’s breathable and I don’t overheat—making it the best lightweight comforter. It’s the perfect temperature for every type of sleeper.

Most importantly, the bamboo makes all the difference. Against the skin, the bamboo fabric is exceptionally soft, which is why my favorite pajamas are made from bamboo. Cozy Earth uses sustainable, non-toxic materials in crafting its bamboo products.

I can’t recommend Cozy Earth’s duvet cover enough—the interior snap closures hook into comforter loops and keep everything in place.

Struggling with insomnia at a young age, I need my sleep environment to be as cozy as possible. Additionally, overheating and night sweats have always haunted me. With Cozy Earth, I created my ideal luxury sleep sanctuary.

Cozy Earth offers a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty. So, you have nothing to lose! If you’re not satisfied, you can return it for a full refund or exchange it.

But don’t take my word for it!

Five-star reviewer Pamela H. says the Cozy Earth comforter is neither too hot nor too cold, but has just the right temperature. “I love my Cozy Earth comforter! The weight of it is light and comfortable, just like all of the Cozy products. It keeps me warm enough, without allowing me to be cold. I chose it because my husband is always hot and I am often cold. I thought this might be just what we need, something that would meet my husband’s needs, and mine as well.”

Don W. purchased the Cozy Earth comforter as an alternative to down comforters. “I have had allergies for a few years and thought the feathers might be a contributor. Like the silk pillow, this comforter has a low profile, but it drapes the bed perfectly.”

FAQ

How to wash Cozy Earth comforter?

The silk comforter must be spot-cleaned or dry-cleaned. For the washing machine, use the rinse cycle, no spin. Dry on delicate, low heat or hang dry. To avoid clumping with the filling, Cozy Earth recommends using a few wool dryer balls. It’s strongly recommended to use a protective duvet cover and required to validate Cozy Earth’s extended warranty.

What are the benefits of bamboo?

Cozy Earth is extra focused on sourcing high-quality viscose bamboo fibers in their products. It’s temperature regulating and wicks moisture while you sleep.

Does Cozy Earth have a high thread count?

Yes, they do. Despite what you’re often led to believe, a high thread count doesn’t necessarily yield an accurate measure of quality sheets. High-quality fabric is more dependent on the right combination of fibers, yarn, weave, technology, consistency and quality control.

Does the Cozy Earth comforter lump?

The Cozy Earth comforter doesn’t divide or shift, unlike down feathers. Defects are covered and replaced immediately.
