Fight Against Racism
It's not enough to be unbiased. People of goodwill everywhere need to be anti-racist. This means speaking up against racism every time we see or hear it.
At Reader’s Digest, we stand with the Black community, people of color, and with all who believe in the fight against racism and injustice. As the late Martin Luther King, Jr., said, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” For George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and many before them, we pledge to be part of the change that must happen to bring our communities together in the name of equality and justice for all.
Ways to take action
Asking: “What can I do?” Here are ways to use your voice, your time, your money, your talent, your love.
Powerful Black perspective
How can non-Blacks support the cause without usurping the message? These Black voices eloquently break it down.
Inspiring protest messages

Preparing for a protest
Ready to exercise your rights to peacefully protest? Dress comfortably, bring an extra mask—and ensure your phone can’t be used to track you.
Protecting your health in a protest
And from our sister-site The Healthy, here’s what you need to know to protect yourself and your friends if a peaceful protest turns violent.
Should you need to whip up a large batch of hand sanitizer, our colleagues at The Family Handyman have this quick and easy recipe:
When it’s time to speak out, how do you know what to say? The fight against racism begins with listening.
At a time when we’re seeing violent eruptions of hate, it may be difficult to feel hopeful, but voiced outrage, solidarity, and most importantly, love, have a history of uniting people and inspiring change.
