First impressions
When I first pulled the Honeylove SuperPower Shorts from the bag, my first thought was “Did I get the wrong size?” They looked unbelievably small, but since I used Honeylove’s quiz to ensure I chose the right size for my body, it must have been right. I chose the sand color to match my skin tone better, so if I wore a light, sheer-like dress, I wouldn’t have to worry about it showing through.
The first thing I needed to do was actually put them on and let me just say, it’s a workout. After heaving and huffing to pull the suit up my body, it fit absolutely perfectly. I could breathe normally and despite being “high compression” it felt like a nice hug instead. The shorts are soft to the touch and have an impressive stretch to them. Although my waist is the smallest part of my torso already, the boning on the sides of the shorts pulled my waist in even more, creating a beautiful hourglass silhouette.
How we tested itÂ
Once I got it on, the first way I tested it was by bending over multiple times and in different ways. I did this to ensure the shorts themselves would not roll down. I sat down on multiple different chairs and couches and even sat on the ground. Much to my surprise, the SuperPower Shorts did not budge.
Next, I tested it by wearing it under different types of clothing. I tried it under bodycon dresses, tight tops, pencil skirts and even my jeans. As expected, the seamless design of the shorts makes it nearly impossible to tell I’m wearing shapewear underneath my clothes.
The last test I conducted for my evaluation was to wear it for an entire day. I spent a Saturday with my husband wearing a tight lavender dress and I couldn’t have felt any more confident. The shapewear stayed exactly in place, never rolled down and kept me cool. It also never felt like it was too tight on my body. I actually felt like I had additional back support and tummy control while wearing it which was a nice bonus.
One of my absolute favorite features I tested was the convenient gusset. I was able to use the public restroom without having to peel the shapewear off my body and put it back on which would have been an absolute nightmare.
