I am fully committed to cozy sleeping: I love the feeling of collapsing into my Helix mattress and snuggling up to soft, warm blankets. That’s why I decided to give the Quince cotton velvet quilt a try—and I’m so glad I did. The plush, medium-pile velvet is a total dream. Plus, their discounted prices, which are 59% less than traditional retail, are hard to resist.

What Is Quince Bedding?

Quince is the same company responsible for the internet’s favorite bestselling $50 cashmere sweater and other high-end luxury goods at shockingly affordable prices. The brand recently expanded beyond chic style staples and business casual pieces, venturing into everything from home decor to cozy cotton sheets.

Quince bedding options are Oeko-Tex certified, which means they are free of harmful chemicals and pesticides, and mostly made of natural, sustainable fibers. I tried the hand-stitched Quince cotton velvet quilt set, one of several hand-crafted bed quilts and coverlets on the brand’s website. Pieces are hand-crafted and dyed, so each one is slightly unique. These blankets are bits of art you can actually cuddle up to.

Quince Bedding Features

Each Quince cotton velvet quilt set features contrast box-stitching on soft, snuggle-worthy 100% cotton velvet that feels like it belongs in a five-star hotel. Even the backing is made of 100% cotton sateen. The cotton velvet pile is plush and fuzzy, and because it’s yarn-dyed and hand-crafted by artisans in India, it looks as luxurious as it feels. It reminds me a bit of the fancy dresses my grandmother would buy each year around the holidays for her granddaughters—only better. That’s because this velvet is designed to sleep in.

Quince’s commitment to sustainable, environmentally-friendly and high-end materials means you can sleep soundly knowing each piece is free of harmful chemicals. The full/queen size set comes with a matching sham, while the king/California king comes with two matching shams. Even the pillow covers offer luxury—they have envelope closures, which are usually only found on extremely expensive bedding brands.

If you don’t have the time or energy to keep reading, I’ll make it simple—buy this cotton velvet quilt set for yourself and I promise you’ll be a Quince bedding convert. It’s glamorous, cozy and easy to care for. The plush 100% cotton material dresses up even cheap mattresses and basic boxed beds. I love that the set is machine washable, and how quickly it transforms an otherwise vanilla bedroom.

I’m perpetually on team all-white-bedding so I opted for the soft ivory shade. It looks pure white in bright light and a bit oatmeal-ish in dimmer settings. I love it, and it looks gorgeous against winter-perfect flannel sheets and summery linens alike.
