With Halloween quickly approaching, the most important decision of the holiday can be a daunting one—what costume to wear. When it comes to costume choice, there can be many factors to consider. Are you and your friends looking for a group costume that will be a hit? Depending on your price-range, your budget may have you searching for a fun and cheap Halloween costume. How much time in advance did you start looking for a costume? Did you wait until the last minute and don’t know where to start?

That’s where Google’s new “Frightgeist” site can help.

The Google Trends team have conjured up the most popular Halloween costumes nation-wide, state-wide and locally based on the costume ideas with the highest searches. The local feature even allows anyone to see the most popular Halloween costumes trending in their area, giving you the leg up on what you might see the most in your town this year.

Additionally, users can enter a costume they’re considering into the search bar to see its popularity. The website’s “costume wizard” feature can further help users pick out the perfect costume for them based on their preferences. Simply adjust website-generated gears towards your preference of spookiness, style, trend and uniqueness to find the ideal costume for your next Halloween party.

Without further ado, here’s what the data says on the costumes you’re most likely to see throughout your Facebook or Instagram feed this year.
